Postdoctoral position availale in Chemical Biology, Experimental Therapeutics, Cellular Biology, Translational Medicine
The research program “Chemical biology and Experimental Therapeutics” at the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine (IMTM), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (www.imtm.cz), seeks for two postdoctoral fellows with background in cellular biology, preferentially in chemical biology and previous experience in research and development of experimental therapeutics, preferentially in area of cancer and infection diseases.
The position will be opened for three years with a possibility to extend as a permanent position - faculty member. The research will be focused on screening of biological activities of small molecules using state of art ultra high throughput screening and high content analysis platforms. We require ability to perform independent research, write papers, supervise students, teach, and work in multinational environment.
ITMT is a not-for-profit organization and it serves as a national node for EATRIS (European Advanced Translational Medicine Infrastructure). The research at the Institute integrates molecular studies with clinical practices and education in a new multi-campus environment. IMTM offers an attractive benefit package. Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's experience.
Formal requirements:
- Ph.D. or equivalent (M.D.) in cell biology or related fields,
- good publication record;
- ability to communicate and write in English;
- experience with tissue cultures, fluorescent microscopy, biochemical tests, testing of biological activities of small molecules and experience with analytical software;

The “Small animal imaging centre” at the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine (IMTM), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (www.imtm.cz), seeks for two postdoctoral fellows with previous experience in research and development of radiotheragnostics in the field of cancer and infectious diseases.
The position will be opened for three years with a possibility to extend as a permanent position - faculty member. Research will mainly focus on the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for imaging of infections and/or imaging and therapy of cancer. We welcome highly motivated and scientifically advanced researchers to join our research team. The ideal candidates should have strong teamwork skills and meet the following formal requirements:
PhD in biomedical sciences
Fluency in English
Ability to perform independent research, write research articles and proposals, supervise students and work in multinational environment
Experience with radiolabelling, cell culturing, preclinical imaging and animal studies
