Molecular basis of disease

Introduction

The general purpose of the research program is to identify and elucidate metabolic and signaling pathways, and genetic and epigenetic changes causing human disease, specifically, cancer, imflammatory and infectious diseases. Our work tries to uncover causative genes and proteins that may be enable the design of a drug or biomarker that has clinical value. Research personnel in the program specialize in the study of DNA damage and repair, and its regulation in normal, inflammatory and cancer cells.
