Dear colleagues,
We're pleased to announce that registration for the next annual conference Interdisciplinary meeting of young life scientists in Milovy has been opened! The Conference will take place on May 18 – May 21, 2025
In 2025, the Czech Chemical Society and Czech Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in association with the general partner IOCB Tech and Merck Life Science and further sponsors are traditionally holding the Interdisciplinary Meeting of Young Researchers and Students from chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and biomaterial-related fields.
We are honored to welcome our distinguished plenary speakers:
- Prof. RNDr. Jan Konvalinka, CSc. (Director of the IOCB, Group Leader Jan Konvalinka Group, Proteases of Human Pathogens)
- RNDr. Aleš Gavenda, Ph.D. (Director of TAPI R&D Division for Czech Republic and Italy, TAPI Czech Industries s.r.o., Opava, a Member of the TAPI Group)
Although it is customary for doctoral students or graduates to apply for the opportunity to participate in this conference, it is not uncommon for master's students to be admitted to present excellent results. For all of them, this conference is a great experience. So be so kind as to spread the word about the conference to all young and talented colleagues and students. More detailed information, including the names of the main plenary speakers, can be found in the attached leaflet.

Terms of Participation and Conference Awards:
Young researchers and students under 35 years of age (born in 1990 or later; maternity leave may extend this limit) employed in the Czech Republic can apply for participation.
Applicants must submit an abstract and a list of publications along with their registration by January 31, 2025. By March 15, 2025, participants will be selected by the Scientific Committee and notified via email.

Awards will be given to the best oral presentations in each section. Best poster will be awarded by the Jitka Moravcová Prize. Only Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. students are eligible for competition; PostDocs are excluded.
Accommodation, breakfasts, lunches and dinners for participants are pre-paid by Organizers, Participants are responsible for their own beverages and transportation to the event location.
