On 29-30 October 2025, the STRIKE consortium will gather for its 5th Progress Meeting, hosted by the National University of Ireland Maynooth.
The agenda will focus on three principal research areas of the project:
- Magnetic beads for liquid biopsy
- Metals for theranostic and imaging purposes
- Magnetic nanomaterials for drug delivery in osteosarcoma therapy
Representing IMTM and Palacký University, doc. RNDr. Václav Ranc, PhD and Sunčica Sukur, MSc, will present progress and analyses across all three focus areas. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to review achievements to date and discuss the next steps in advancing the STRIKE methodology.
The event will be followed by the IBICS-9 Metal in Medicine Symposium, organised by the Irish Biological Inorganic Chemistry Society, on 31 October 2025. During this symposium, the STRIKE network will disseminate its latest results through three poster presentations.
