New research methods for an early detection of lung cancer

Marián Hajdúch talks about new research methods for an early detection of lung cancer. This year, Cancer Research Foundation CR is about to lunch a clinical study focused on the early detection of lung cancer prevention, one of the most common cancers in the Czech Republic. About three thousand people will join the study and will be examined in the next three years by experts from the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine in Olomouc in cooperation with medical facilities. The aim is to verify the method of early detection and prevention of lung cancer, which is the result of years of research by scientists from IMTM. If its effectiveness is confirmed, it will be possible to make this non-invasive, fast, and life-saving diagnosis available to the general public in the Czech Republic.
