Our colleague Michaela Bendova participated in the OHDSI Global Symposium 2024, held in New Brunswick, NJ, USA on October 22-24, 2024. The 10th annual OHDSI Global Symposium brought together more than 470 global collaborators for three days of sharing research, building new connections and pushing forward the mission of improving health by empowering a community to collaboratively generate the evidence that promotes better health decisions and better care.
The Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) program is a multi-stakeholder, interdisciplinary collaborative to bring out the value of health data through large-scale analytics with the use of the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model (CDM). A central component of the OMOP CDM is the OHDSI standardized vocabularies. The OHDSI vocabularies allow organization and standardization of medical terms to be used across the various clinical domains, including the terms from clinical trials and real world data databases.
