My current interest is medicinal chemistry, especially natural products with various biological activities. Our research consists of organic synthesis, evaluation of activities and mechanism of action. Earlier in my career, I was also involved in nucleic acid research, enzymology and biochemistry in general. In addition, I teach classes on bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, and chemistry of nucleic acids.
